Van Halen Officially Announce North American Tour - Monday, August 13, 2007 at 16:05
|
Van Halen officially announced their North American Tour with David Lee Roth this morning. It's been talked about for weeks, but the official press release is now on their official site. It is their first tour with David Lee Roth in 22 years. Also, Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, will be touring with them on bass, replacing Michael Anthony.
25 dates were announced today, starting on September 27th in Charlotte, North Carolina. They will be playing such big places as the Madison Square Garden in NY on November 13th, and the Staples Center here in Los Angeles on November 20th. The full listing of tour dates is available here. Some of the dates will go on sale as soon as August 18th through LiveNation. They will also be offering things like concert pre-show parties, backstage access, premium seating and more through ILoveAllAccess.com.
Although I personally have always been more of a fan of them with Sammy Hagar, I do like David Lee Roth (and saw him live in a solo show once) and I'm sure it'll definitely be a show worth seeing! The shows I went to with Sammy were some of the best concerts I've seen (although I wasn't as impressed the one time I saw them with Gary Cherone). |
