Rush have just announced a "Special UK Tour Edition" CD/DVD of Snakes & Arrows. The album will be released on September 3rd to promote their upcoming U.K. tour in October. The special edition packaging will include a 28-page full color booklet.
The bonus DVD will include tons of interactive features, audio mixes in 96 kHz/24-bit hi-resolution stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound, plus "Rush: The Game of Snakes & Arrows", a unique 45-minute video documentary on the making of the album, including backstage footage, commentary from the band members, a segment where Neil Peart records the drum parts, and more. Other interactive features include MP3 files of every song on the album, wallpapers, buddy icons, a screensaver and a scrollable dialog written by Neil Peart that provides additional detail on how the songs were written.
