It looks like Lillian Axe have been busy! According to posts on their mailing list, besides the previously announced Houston show April 15 at Forgetta'bout It Too (their first Texas show with new singer Derrick LeFevre), there's a lot more going on. They're currently working on a new cd (which should be finished by this summer. The singer just completed the vocals on the last song, titled Antarctica.). They're also featured in the April issue of the Houston area magazine Music News, and they're competing in the "Best Band We've Never Heard" contest on Guitar.com with a new song from the upcoming cd called "Waters Rising," so you can go there to here a sneak peak of what is coming!
The members have been busy with other projects, too! NLE are also featured in the Guitar.com contest, and they will be playing live April 22 in Baton Rouge, LA at Clicks, and on April 30 in Houston, TX at Fitzgeralds. The Daze (featuring Darrin Delatte and Ron Taylor) will be playing April 8 and 9 in Lewisville, TX at Sneaky Petes and on April 16 in Arlington, TX at Sherlocks.
Also, Steve Blaze, Eric Morris and James Bills have formed a production company named Velvet Life Productions that have just entered a joint venture with Isis Films to shoot a full length film entitled "Tao of Marious". It is based on the half hour indie film "Slayer Zed and the City of the Dead." Pre-production starts this month, shooting begins July 11, and they're planning a Halloween release! |
