Music genres have been merging for years now. From Rap rock to jazz-fusion and everything in between, fans can't seem to get enough of the fusion wave sweeping today's music scene.
However, no one would expect the news that hit the wire earlier today. Heavy metal/screamo members of Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Anthrax and Megadeth have teamed up with rapper "Necro" to make a "death metal/rap" album appropriately titled, "Death Rap."
"Metal is everything to me, as much as hip-hop," Necro previously said. "I am just as influenced by metal. Metal is a huge inspiration to me. I am metal, It's in my veins and blood."
"Death Rap," which is guaranteed to turn heads, is due out on September 11th of this year. No one quite knows what to expect, but as fan of all the bands appearing on the album, curiosity might take over and convince me to pick up a copy. |
