John Young just announced a bunch of tour dates on his MySpace page, including a tour of the U.S. that starts in October and continues through February (with stops near here in L.A. and Long Beach). Tickets will only be $10, but the catch is that he needs to have enough people agree in advance to buy tickets for him to be able to afford to do the tour!
For those of you who don't know who John Young is (and if so you probably didn't click through to see this so I'll probably mention this later in a Rockers Ramblings post), he's a great singer and songwriter who co-wrote music with John Wetton for his solo albums. If you like those, you'll love John Young's music too! I saw him live at the John Wetton Fan Convention a few years ago, and was really impressed. So I'd really like to see him here in L.A., and I hope by getting word out about the shows here enough people will contact him that it will actually happen! |
